FIATA-RAP Meeting 2024, SPSL Collaborates with Logistics Companies in 4 Countries

PT Pelindo Solusi Logistik ("SPSL") signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Logistics Services Cooperation with four logistics companies that are members of The International Federation of Freight Forwarders Association (FIATA) from Thailand, Vietnam, India and Malaysia, on Friday ( 12/7/2024).

SPSL President Director, Joko Noerhudha, said that the signing of this MoU was an important milestone for SPSL Group's progress into the wider market. "The signing of this MoU marks a new chapter in our efforts to prepare SPSL Group's service reach to a wider arena. With the start of this collaboration, it will certainly expand the SPSL Group network in providing export-import and freight forwarding services in the Asian region, especially Thailand, Vietnam, India and Malaysia, and is expected to be able to utilize the potential of the logistics sector in the Asia Pacific Region more optimally, he said.

The four logistics companies involved in this collaboration are Profreight Logistics, Co. Ltd (Thailand), MCC Container Line Pvt, Ltd, (India), International Logistics Corporation (Vietnam), and Eastrex Logistics Sdn, Bhd (Malaysia). The signing of this collaboration was carried out by the Managing Director of SPSL Joko Noerhudha (Indonesia), Suwit Ratanachinda (Thailand), Chua Seng Wah (Malaysia), Vietnam Nguyen Duy Minh (Vietnam), and Tej C (India), on the sidelines of the FIATA-RAP Meeting and ALFI 2024 National Rapimnas, which will be held in Nusa Dua Bali, on 11-12 July 2024.

Joko Noerhudha explained that the aim of this collaboration was to improve partnership logistics based on the potential of each company and emphasized that this collaboration was one way to open wider access for goods in and out of Indonesia through the SPSL Group.

This collaboration is in line with the remarks of Vice President K.H. Ma'ruf Amin delivered virtually at the opening of the FIATA Regional Asia Pacific (RAP) Meeting 2024. "The potential for the logistics industry in the Asia Pacific Region is very large. Supported by positive economic growth and high investment, as well as increasing trade volume, this region plays a strategic role in global trade," said the Vice President.

The Vice President further said that one of the supporters of this potential is the existence of the Asia Pacific region which is home to the nine largest container ports in the world, which are projected to continue to grow.

Joko Noerhudha added that the parties who signed the MoU planned to visit SPSL facilities in Indonesia. "SPSL is part of the Pelindo Group, and we want them to be happy when they use the facilities of 144 port terminals in Indonesia which are managed and operated by Pelindo," he said.
